Michelle Harris was raised in a very musical family...most of her relatives play guitar and sing. Her mother saw her father on stage, fell in love, and soon, Michelle was born. She has been singing all her life and has sang in bands such as Critical Mass out of Kirkland and Ragged Edge out of the south sound area. She started running sound for karaoke shows in 1996 and won many singing contests. Her influences include, but are not limited to, Queensryche, Styx, Heart and, first and foremost, Pat Benatar.
Todd Harris started playing guitar at the age of 9. His first guitar was a Ariea Pro 2. The first band he ever played in was a heavy metal band called Koruption based out of Portland. Throughout the years, he has taught guitar. After joining a band that needed a bass player, he picked up bass as well. His musical influences include Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Lynard Skynard, and AC/DC. Realizing the importance of playing cover tunes, he decided to start FYI with Michelle...playing fun music until the band can eventually do all originals. He now plays on a Gibson SG and a Jay Turser with a Marshall head and Behringer cabinet.
Roger "Rocker" Swanson has played drums for 34 years. He has many achievements which include touring British Columbia, Canada; extensive northwest touring; and recording experience. plays on Roland V-Drums of which he says "Nothing can sound as good every place I use them". Music is his life of which he hopes to make a positive impact on music fans everywhere.
Dale Sturdevant started playing guitar in 1968 when his older brother was taking guitar lessons but couldn't tune his guitar and had Dale do it. Influenced by everyone but mostly Led Zeppelin and Lynard Skynard, he bought his first guitar...an acoustic Honer from a pawn shop in Seattle. He started out playing rhythm in 1973 with the band Buried Alive but moved to lead guitar in 1990. He
currently plays on Gibson Les Paul, Fender Strat, Fender Telecaster, and also plays a little bass and harmonica. He also uses a Vox cabinet and head.
Myles Phipps started playing guitar (an old acoustic Harmony) in his sophomore year of high school. He won't say when that was. He started playing in bands 2 years later. After a few years of playing privately and honing his skills, he played with By Design in Pennsylvania. When he started playing with China Phrog, he moved to bass. He has mostly been a jazz musician but is finding good 'ol rock and roll to be a heck of a lot of fun. He now plays on an Ibanez bass and on a Fender bass.
Chris Brunton started playing piano in 1974. Inspired by some of the great keyboard bands such as Styx, Journey, and REO Speedwagon, he began learning how to play entire album sides. He played mainly on a grand piano and a Rhodes 73 key electric piano. He has played in many bands and is also multitalented...for instance, he played bass for the bands RIOT, AXIS, and Skin Diver. During this time, he still maintained his piano and keyboard playing skills. He now plays on a Roland Midi workstation and a Yamaha Midi keyboard and is ready to rock your socks off!
