Little Bill and the Blue NotesLittle Bill and the Blue Notes
"Bill Englehart is among the greats of Northwest rock, going back to
1959 when his "I Love an Angle" hit the national Top 40, one of the
first records from these parts to do so,His influence has been
substantial. He is credited with inspiring the classic version of
,Louie Louie by the Kingsmen, certainly one of the great rock
records of all time"
Bill's unique history and great personal warmth lets him bridge the
generations. To music fans of all ages, Bill Engelhart personifies the
very best of rhythm and blues in the Pacific Northwest. Over the past
40 years, Little Bill has fronted many versions of the Bluenotes. The
current lineup has performed together throughout the Northwest since
1989 with exciting results.
Their music and personal chemistry blends into a vital and compelling
Northwest sound that, among other things, earned them a nomination in
1990 for the Northwest Area Music Association's (NAMA) "Best Northwest
Blues Band". (A guitar player named Robert Cray won.)
