LAKOTA HISTORICAL PRODUCTIONS.(L.H.P.) is an association of members of the Oglala Sioux Tribe who have organized for the purposes of researching Lakota (Sioux) history and historic culture and present it in an educational,informative way.The mission of the L.H.P. is to provide a better understanding and appreciation for Lakota history and historic culture that it may inspire Tribal members, foster interest in the performing arts and provide an understanding between cultures.The society has formed several primary programs to fulfill the mission which is a research program and a history presentation program. For educational purposes L.P.H. has created a history presentation program. The history presentation program is the presentation of the Lakota (Sioux) people historically. The program is divided into four programs which are: (1.) The re-enactment Program. (2.) The Living History Exhibit. (3.) The Historic Cultural Performance Program. (4.)
